A Design Story: Boulder Primary Bath

This fun project is located just a few miles from Pearl Street in Boulder, CO. The design scope included a full renovation of the Primary Bath, new cabinetry and lavatories in the Kids Bath, and new backsplash tile in the Kitchen. The client was decisive and open to some luxury features and beautiful finishes.

The existing Primary Bath featured very dated beige tile that wrapped up the wall and was topped with a green mosaic tile. The client wanted to keep the layout of the bathroom the same, but update all the finishes, remove the built-in tub, replace mirrors & lighting, and replace all cabinetry with new custom cabinetry. The existing doors in the space were a warm wood tone and were not being replaced, so we custom matched the new cabinetry to coordinate with the existing doors.

The existing shower was also very cave-like. We addressed this by adding glass and replacing the tile with white zellige tile created a more modern look and brightened the space. A luxury steam shower was included and a new custom bench built as well.

The beige tile throughout was replaced with a modern gray large scale tile laid out in a herringbone pattern. New mirrors and sconces helped update each vanity. Also a sleek glass pendant was hung over the new freestanding tub.
